Blackstreet's investment criteria are as follows:

• Company revenues up to $150 million ("Lower Middle Market")
• Initial equity investment up to $15 million (larger investments accomplished through co-investment of limited partners)
• Total enterprise value up to $50 million
• Control investments (a minimum of 51% of the voting stock)
• Meaningful equity investment by management alongside Blackstreet, in addition to performance-based compensation and equity incentives
• Average holding period of 3-5 years
• Flexible structures created to fit the needs of the portfolio company (common equity, preferred equity and/or subordinated debt with warrants or equity participation features)
• Companies located primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern and Midwestern United States
